Case Study
BEXA was commissioned to investigate declinature of an insurance claim for water ingress at a $7.5m house. Three consultants had previously investigated and all concluded causation was defective waterproofing. BEXA’s thorough investigation identified the primary cause as a power failure preventing operation of a submersible pump, which enabled back charge of stormwater internally to the house once an underground water tank reached its overflow point. The claim was subsequently approved incurring a seven figure repair cost.
